Why is coffee so popular all over the world?

The same coffee beans can taste completely different depending on how they are brewed. The brewing method affects the aroma, strength, body, and overall character of the final cup.

Espresso

Espresso is made by forcing hot water through finely ground coffee under pressure. The result is a small, concentrated drink with an intense flavor and a layer of crema on top.

Espresso is also the base for many popular drinks, including cappuccino, latte, and americano.

French Press

The French press is a simple method that allows coffee grounds to remain in contact with water for several minutes before being separated with a metal filter.

This produces a full-bodied and rich cup, often with more oils and texture than filtered coffee.

Pour-Over

Pour-over brewing involves slowly pouring hot water over ground coffee through a filter. The water passes through the coffee and extracts its flavors before collecting in the cup.

This method gives you greater control over the brewing process and can highlight the delicate aromas and individual characteristics of different beans.

Moka Pot

The moka pot uses pressure created by heated water to pass water through ground coffee. It produces a strong, concentrated coffee that is richer than typical filter coffee, although it is not the same as espresso.

It is especially popular in Italian coffee culture.

Cold Brew

Cold brew is prepared by steeping coffee grounds in cold or room-temperature water for an extended period.

The result is generally a smooth, less acidic-tasting and refreshing coffee that can be served over ice or combined with milk.

Which Method Should You Choose?

There is no single perfect brewing method. It depends on the experience you want.

For a strong and concentrated coffee, try espresso or moka pot.
For a rich and full-bodied cup, choose a French press.
For cleaner and more delicate flavors, try pour-over.
For a smooth and refreshing drink, cold brew is an excellent option.

The most interesting part of coffee is that one bean can reveal completely different characteristics depending on how you prepare it.

At Cup & Go, we believe every brewing method offers a new way to discover coffee.
